About BAASO

boy_art2BAASO's Mission

The Boston Arts After School Organization (BAASO) aims to provide art materials, project ideas and art activity lesson plans to any program in need and to serve as a network to connect Art Support donors and volunteers to after school programs in Boston and the surrounding area.

As the primary resource for carrying out the BAASO mission, the Art Support Network was designed to connect individuals who want to promote art education and creativity at their local after school program/s by donating new or gently used art supplies or volunteering their time, experience and talent by teaching a craft, running an art club or sharing their own after school art project ideas.

BAASO's Founder

The Boston Arts After School Organization was incorporated and founded by Christen Mailler, an after school program coordinator with a vision to promote creativity in Boston area after school programs that are in need of art supplies and talented volunteers with a passion for doing art with kids.

Christen received her BFA from the Tufts School of The Museum of Fine Arts (SMFA). She has over seven years of experience working with children and has been in the position of Teacher, Coordinator and Director for various youth-oriented organizations in and around Boston.
